Description

How could I resist? She took a while between work and actually getting a design I like~
My precious Alpha Tucana. Ready to mingle and develop as she makes friends, enemies, and family~

Task 20 for "Alpha Generation"

Personality:

Vivi is independent. Part of her has always been independent even when she was with her family but especially after she was separated from them and put in a separate refugee camp. She quickly learned how to handle herself and make herself useful so she would be looked upon favorably so as to make ends meet. In the camps, she realized that being clingy or pushy about attachments would get her nowhere. She adapted and soon adopted her current outlook upon friends and family (blood-related or otherwise), which is that everyone is entitled to their own opinions. If they like her and treat her as friends or family, awesome! If they don't like her, that's cool too. She won't push it, and won't demand you be friends with her.

Regardless of what people feel about Vivi, she will always do her best to protect them though. She will fight by anyone's side, and help out anyone she can, as long as they share a common cause. It doesn't matter whether she likes or dislikes someone, she will work with them to achieve what needs to be done.

That being said, despite her relaxed attitude towards and non-pushy nature, she does care about the well being of others. Especially their mental states due to what she knows is a high-stress situation. No matter where she is, refugee camp, war camp, home, or the moon, she has an open door policy. If you need someone to talk to, whether it's to complain, vent, or just even silent company, she will be that person. Even if previously they didn't get along with her, she'd still accept them into her room, and help them through whatever problems they have. She knows everyone has different things going on and does her best to not be judgmental regarding any situation.

She is anti-social but at the same time social. If put in the situation with many people, she has no problem socializing and interacting with others. On the other hand, she sometimes just prefers to curl up somewhere warm with a book and just tune out the world and recharge. She dislikes interruptions to her personal reading time unless someone is needing someone to talk to, in which case she will make time and read her book later.

She can keep calm in stressful situations , and is not prone to freezing up or backing down unless there is a call for a retreat or stand down. She doesn't know how to fight at first so depended on her supportive abilities and longer range things at first but with proper training through the war despite her smaller size she learned how to fight. A downside to this is that she feels she needs to prove herself to others and often trains too hard or doesn't take the proper rest. She tends to be a bit neglectful towards her own health when it comes to training and fighting at times.

History:

Vivi grew up with Pala (Alpha CaMi) and the rest of her family. Pre-war she was just a normal teenager. An annoying one given the fact that she was always singing around the house, or even yelling when she felt that her siblings were too far away to hear normal volume. She's always had amazing control over her voice and once dreamed of becoming a professional singer but was pushed by her father to a career that was more 'stable' so she started studying and turned to her second love. Books. Right before the attacks started happening Vivi became a librarian and record keeper. History fascinated her and so she turned her attention to that, and researching to her hearts content.

When the attacks started happening, at first she was unaffected besides the fear beginning to grow in her as she heard about everything happening at the capital. However soon it began to spread out, hitting closer and closer to home. Finally it impacted their lives and Vivi's peaceful life turned into a nightmare. Chaos was everywhere and in that chaos, Vivi lost everyone as she was shuttled off to a refugee camp in a panic relocation of civilians.

During this she largely helped organize the efforts of her particular refugee camp, handling paperwork, running papers to and from others, etc. Her preference was to stay away from fighting and instead focus on helping out where she could. Then the call for volunteers went out. Despite apprehension over if she could be useful or not, Vivi still desired to help so she volunteered. Only to get an earful from her mother once they reunited and said mother tried to convince her to 'stay safe'. Vivi refused and long story short, the next thing she knew was that she was standing along side her mother as Alpha Tucana, ready to fight along side Alpha Canis Minor and the rest of her fellow constellations. Of course during the whole duration of her life before the war, during, and after, Tucana could not resist documenting all she found out and knew, though promised to never show a soul the book outside of the senshi.

First though? There was the matter of learning how to fight still.

Reason for following the Lady of the Stars to the Moon:

Vivi had no one else, no other reason. Her mother and the Lady had quickly become the reason she fought and lived for along with all her other family and friends she had made within the Alpha Squad. When everything ended and she was split from her fellow senshis, she felt a sense of loss very keenly. It had created a hole within her that nothing could fill. Vivi lost her open nature and slowly became more and more of a recluse as the time passed and less energetic. Finally she could no longer stand it, and admitted to her mother the desire to follow the Lady Of The Stars to the moon. It eased her guilt of admitting this when her mother too mentioned she wanted to be there as well. So together they went, and while Vivi still mourned the loss of her friends and new family as time went on, she was happier knowing she could be with them and her Lady.

( As a note for Gen 1 / Current gen: her personal notebook recounting the details was lost and will never be found unless a future task allows for the connection of Alpha to Gen1/current gen. )

Senshi Powers :

Offensive: Valykrie's Song- The original version of 'skree' it disorients only all who Tucana perceives as enemies for duration of the song doubled ( 1 minute song + 1 minute after ) at the same time the song will 'revive' allies, by relieving their aches, pains, and exhaustion, giving them a renewed sense of energy. If Tucana chooses to hum instead, it is a less intense version of her singing, and instead only lasts while she is humming. It has no negative effects like Kasarin suffers.
Offensive: With a push of her magic, wind claws form at the tips of her gauntlets, and are razor sharp to all who contact them.
Defensive: Singing/humming, she can effectively put someone to sleep. This is versus their willpower however so the more strong will they have, the easier it is to resist/break her attempt to put them to sleep. Otherwise it just makes them slower/more lethargic in movements if they do resist being put to sleep.
Passive: Can hover in the air for an indefinite amount of time. Doesn't require concentration to do so, and can choose to adjust the height at which she hovers and move around in the air. Can do this in and out of combat freely.
Weapon: A segmented sword that can release to form a bladed whip for short to medium ranged combat.

Battle Notes:
In the beginning of the war she is largely medium to long range, preferring to solely use her voice to disorient enemies and renew allies. As the war goes on and she gains training from her mother and fellow senshi, she transitions to fighting close to medium range, backing off to medium/long range only when she needs to take a break or help out her allies with a song.

She doesn't seem to notice or care if she takes damage, focusing more on allies at the time of the fighting. Likewise she is always pushing herself in training to do better, to the point of exhaustion at times. It is a bad habit her mother and friends dislike seeing at all, but so far very few methods seem to work to pull her away from this.

Fun facts:

Always humming or singing, it's just something she can't help.She's been affectionately called a songbird =w= ...or an annoyance.

She has an adorable civilian Form but looks absolutely badass when transformed.
I am looking forward to see more of her ^^
